Curriculum

At Spring Kids, we believe in providing a rich and stimulating learning environment that nurtures the holistic development of every child. Our curriculum is inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach, which strongly emphasises play-based learning and child-led exploration. We integrate elements of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to ensure that our program aligns with best early childhood education practices.

Key Focus Areas

Mental Cognition – Learning and Problem-Solving: Through open-ended play experiences and guided activities, we foster children’s curiosity and critical thinking skills. Our educators facilitate opportunities for children to explore, experiment, and discover solutions to problems, laying the foundation for lifelong learning.

Communication (Speech, Language Skills): Language development is a fundamental aspect of our curriculum. We create a language-rich environment where children are encouraged to express themselves verbally and non-verbally. We incorporate storytelling, music, and dramatic play to enhance communication skills and literacy development.

Emotional Awareness and Regulation: Supporting children’s social and emotional development is a priority at Spring Kids. We provide a nurturing and supportive atmosphere where children feel valued, respected, and safe to express their emotions. We help children develop self-awareness, empathy, and emotional resilience through guided discussions and mindfulness activities.

Physical and Sensory Skills: Physical activity and sensory exploration are integral to our curriculum. We offer a range of indoor and outdoor experiences that promote the development of gross and fine motor skills. From climbing and balancing to painting and sensory bins, children engage in activities stimulating their senses and promoting physical well-being.

Social Interactions with Others: Building positive relationships and social skills is central to our program. Children have opportunities to collaborate, negotiate, and communicate with their peers in a supportive and inclusive environment. Children learn to navigate social dynamics and develop empathy and teamwork through group activities, cooperative play, and problem-solving tasks.
